STRATEGIC PLAN DEPLOYMENT DOCUMENT

Silver Jubilee constantly strives to evolve innovative strategies to make the institution as centre of potential for excellence. A strategic plan is implemented to provide a sense of direction and to outline the measurable goals in tune with the Vision and Mission of an Institution.

I. Curricular Aspects

⇒ To introduce and connect the syllabus to Outcome Based Education, modelled on the framework of Bloom’s Taxonomy with definite COs, POs and PSOs.

⇒ To introduce market oriented courses to prepare the students to face global competition.

⇒ To enrich the curriculum by introducing Life Skill courses and Skill Development courses.

⇒ To design add on courses for Advanced Learners to earn extra credits.

⇒ To frame the courses in accordance with market expectations.

⇒ To offer optional courses in all disciplines.

⇒ To take feedback on syllabus from all the stakeholders.

II. Teaching Learning and Evaluation

⇒ To cultivate the habit of offering Student/ Faculty Exchange Programmes

⇒ To identify Slow learners and Advanced learners and plan teaching learning activities accordingly.

⇒ To strengthen the existing system to assess learning outcomes.

⇒ To encourage students for online teaching learning through NPTEL, SWAYAM and Amrita Virtual Labs.

⇒ To expose students to the e-learning facilities in Library and Information Centre of the college.

⇒ To reach students through ICT based teaching methodologies like Google Classroom and expose them Open Educational Resources.

⇒ To encourage students to register for APCCE LMS and APSCHE LMS.

⇒ To encourage students to register for Internshaala and Internships with various organizations.

⇒ To enhance the teaching skill of the faculty through capacity building programmes to keep abreast of the changing trends.

III. Research, Innovations and Extension

⇒ To promote innovation ad research through IIC.

⇒ To motivate the faculty to undertake more funded research projects.

⇒ To encourage collaborative research.

⇒ To sensitize the teaching staff on quality publications and indexed journals.

⇒ To strengthen IPR cell.

⇒ To encourage the students for undertaking online/virtual internships.

⇒ To establish industry- academia linkages through IIC.

⇒ To plan and implement community outreach programmes as part of the institutional social responsibility.

IV. Infrastructure and Learning Resources

⇒ To purchase new equipment for Laboratory programmes.

⇒ To allocate more budget for purchase of books in Library.

⇒ To purchase upgraded systems with latest configuration.

⇒ To develop e -content tools and media centre.

⇒ To increase the number of classrooms with ICT facilities.

V. Student Support and Progression

⇒ To organize student support programmes.

⇒ To tap the creative talent and incentivize the students..

⇒ To strengthen the existing system to assess learning outcomes.

⇒ To prepare students for competitive examinations for employment and higher studies..

⇒ To conduct soft skill training programmes.

⇒ To improve the grievance addressing mechanism.

⇒ To encourage students to participate in State, National And International events.

⇒ To give priority to internship and project work to make students skill-oriented.

⇒ To strengthen the Mentor-Mentee relationship to create a safe and supportive environment.

VI. Governance, Leadership and Management

⇒ To strengthen the governance of the institution through decentralization and participative management.

⇒ To enhance the effectiveness of the various non-statutory bodies of the institution.

⇒ To institutionalize quality for consistent overall improvement through continuous assessment.

⇒ To review the academic performance of the faculty.

⇒ To modernize examination procedures.

⇒ To conduct internal examinations online.

Silver Jubilee Government College emerged on the glorious eve of Silver Jubilee Celebrations of Indian Independence in 1972. It is the brain-child of Sri P. V. Narasimha Rao, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh then, who wanted to establish a state-wide institution to forge emotional integration of the people of the three regions of the state when its integration was threatened by the separatist movements.
